Shahapur: Following a tip-off, the Yadgiri Lokayukta team conducted a raid on the city’s Tehsil office on Tuesday morning. During the operation, Sidlingappa Mallanna Po. Patil (45), the Village Accountant (VA) of Madnal village and in-charge of Hattigudoor, was taken into custody by Lokayukta police.
The raid was conducted based on information provided by Raja Ramappa Nayak from Surapura, and the Lokayukta officials successfully apprehended Sidlingappa.
By evening, officials had examined documents, mobile phone records, and other evidence, and a case was registered at the Yadgiri Lokayukta Police Station.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Lokayukta SP C. Siddaraj, led by DYSP J.H. Inandar, with the support of police inspectors Siddaraj Ballurigi and Sangamesh, and Lokayukta CHS officers including Satish Narasnayak, Mallikarjun Madival, Amar, Gangadhar, Mallinath, and Khasinsab. The Lokayukta police confirmed that the accused Sidlingappa from the Income Department has been arrested.
